The House
This architect-designed house hunkered down at the base of Kasteelberg is one of the latest jewels in the crown of guest accommodation in Riebeek Kasteel. ‘Contemporary industrial’ sums up the pared-back interiors so come and enjoy ‘Swartland-luxe’ at its best. Fuss-free and not a white wall in sight. A melting pot of design meets nature.
Embrace the easy-going nature of the valley and the simple things in life….purposefully, there are no TV’s or air-con in Lekkerberg. Ceiling fans and cool mountain breezes take the edge off the summer heat and two pools are on offer to lounge in while admiring the sunrise over a morning coffee.
All guest rooms, pools and the protected terraces have uninterrupted views across the olive tree-lined driveway and fynbos garden to the adjacent farm’s vineyards with the rugged Drakenstein mountain range in the background. The indulgence of wide open spaces and tranquility offers a sense of escapism and a peaceful haven in which to unwind and relax.
